While it doesn’t do anything when going 1st, its utility gives it enough reason to be considered in any Dark Magician deck. Overall, Magikuriboh is a solid card that has a lot of value in longer games. Since most players expect Dark Magician to be summoned from S/Ts like Eternal Soul, some players might over-commit and get punished accordingly. This can catch your opponent off-guard if you have no other S/Ts on the field. It can surprise your opponent on their turn and can be deadly if paired with Dark Magical Circle. Magikuriboh is also a great defensive card. This makes Magikuriboh harder to negate and more likely to resolve. This is important because while cards on the field are susceptible to removal, cards in your hand are much safer. While it summons Dark Magician like most cards in the archetype, the difference between it and a card like Eternal Soul is that it’s a Hand Trap. Magikuriboh is a monster with a lot of different uses. It also has recursion if your opponent destroys a SPELLCASTER you control by battle or card effect. Otherwise I hope you fulfill your nostalgia.Magikuriboh is a Level 1 Hand Trap with an effect to special summon Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl.
If you want to cheap competative deck I suggest Domain Monarchs. Like this (YCS tournaments are one of the most competitive yugioh scenes other than ARG invitational circuits) If you want solid builds look for live deck profiles of players who actually topped with their more optimized ratios. They're very basic and generic (run 3's Dark Magician basic), you shouldn't copy it to exact. If you wanna win a tournament, YES you need Desires and everything but if not, don't invest in cards that're priced for high end tournaments.Īlso take yugituber decklists for a grain of salt. Take advantage of cheaper cards like Pot of Duality, Book of Moon, Breakthrough Skill, Bottomless Trap Hole ect. You don't need solemn strike or any other generic expensive non-Dark Magician specific cards, same reasoning with cutting Pot of Desires Cut Gaia, all the synchros (try Tempest Magician instead), cut red-eyes and big eye (or leave them at 1) Cut Gaia, you'll only make it once if lucky.
This is why you should prioritize cards that say "Dark Magician" or contribute to the deck engine. Truth be told, many players who attend tournaments never make every single card in their extra, Gaia included. Prioritize getting cards that say "Dark Magician" in them for likely they will make up the bulk of how the deck works (and hey! most of them are cheap. You don't need Pot of Desires, it gives you cards but it is generic and Dark Magicians will still be Dark Magicians without it. Obviously if you wanted a cheap deck, your options will be limitedīut here's some tips to cut down the price for your deck I could really use some friendly tips from someone who has stayed in the game longer than me (I took a break from playing just as Xyz monsters were coming out).
#Yugioh legacy of the duelist dark magician deck movie
On top of this, I love the new Magician Girl cards that came out in the movie packs recently (I have at least one of each) and was wondering what type of deck I might be able to build around them, or maybe even add them in with my Dark Magicians. I've still got a few of the ones mentioned in the video. Cards like Pot of Desires and Magician's Circle are absolutely out of the question for my wallet, and even Gaia is a bit pricy for a single card. I've been using this video by TeamSamuraiX1 as a card guide for how my deck should be constructed: but like so many others, I have hit a wall in looking at the prices of some of the cards. So I'm getting back into dueling because I've been playing the Legacy of the Duelist game, and I've decided to make a deck based around Dark Magicians (my fav archetype).
